WORKING WITH A FREELANCE TRANSLATOR
An expert translator – Direct contact – No intermediaries – Guaranteed quality – Confidentiality
You deserve the right price and the best quality.
You will find on the market rates between 0,3 € and 0,19 €/word. Some amateurs break the prices, making you take big risks. On the other hand, a high price is not always a guarantee of quality.
Repeating words are not counted. Their translation requires some work since it sometimes varies according to the context.
Rates also vary depending on complexity, format, volume, urgency and options.
ELAIS and QUALIT
I work within reasonable deadlines, not under pressure, nor at night in order to deliver accurate and quality translations.
A translator translates 2,000 to 2,500 words per day, or about 10 pages.
Remember how much time your teams spent on the original document. A quality translation requires time, research on content and vocabulary.
- I do several readings back and forth in the document,
- I sometimes contact experts or colleagues,
- I reread/correct the final text several times.
CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT
You can pay by bank transfer or PayPal.
For new customers, a 50% deposit is required with the first order.
In accordance with the latest European directives, I ask for payment at the time of order for individuals and within 60 days maximum for companies.
Basic rate: 0.1 €/word or 25 € per page of 250 words.
Loyal customers and satisfied
Editing and correction of translations
Do you want to have a translation X that a translator Y has done revised?
I examine and compare sentence by sentence the source text (English or Spanish) and the target text (the French translation) for possible errors (misinterpretation of the text, heterogeneity of vocabulary or style, abuse of language, etc.)
I focus only on the target text (the French translation) to correct spelling, syntax, typing and layout errors. I also make sure that the punctuation is correct and that the style is consistent and appropriate for this type of document.
Some documents that have suffered from poor translation may require editing and correction. If not, the correction is sufficient.
Rates vary according to the complexity, quality, format of the document and the deadline.
